Area Service Committee Guideline Review
We are meeting Wednesdays at the Latin Cafe at 7:30 on Wednesday nights on Bird Rd. and 82nd Ave. to review area guidelines starting on 1/11/2012. Please get involved. All members are welcome.
Area Service Committee – Open Positions
There are several positions open in the Area Service Committee, and they are listed on our homepage. If you are interested in providing service to the South Dade Area, please attend the ASC meeting for more information, or talk to your GSR or someone else involved in service for more information.
Please refer to our Procedural Guidelines for requirements and responsibilities for these positions, or follow the link with the service position to the page in the Guidelines that has the requirement.
H & I – Hospitals & Institutions
We have a total of 12 facilities, 18 meetings, and 45 active positions. We have 1 facility in Florida City that needs to be covered. We have 1 Spanish meeting starting at FCI. Additional positions are available. Clean time requirement is 6 months. Please come to our subcommittee meetings on the second Sunday of every month to participate at 72nd avenue and Sunset at 7:00pm.
We are interested in expanding our service into additional jails and prisions, but have met great resistence from those facilities, though we are hopeful of expanding. – 1/6/2012.
Helpline
Helpline meets the last Sunday of every month at 6:45pm at 72nd Street and 72nd Avenue.
Activities Subcommittee
Wouldn’t you like to be part of the coolest subcommittee? WELL YOU CAN! You can help us plan one event or help us plan all of our events- it’s ALL up to you! Come rock with us! We meet at 7:15, the first and third Wednesday of the month. Sunset and 72nd avenue at the west side classroom. For more info contact Marc Z. 786-514-8524. Clean time requirement, 1 day.
